New Book Announcement: The Seed of Hope

Ten years ago, when my daughter was 4 years old, we lived in the beautiful seaside towns of Monterey and Pacific Grove on the Californian coast. At night, as part of her bedtime ritual, I would tell her a story about a magical town where magic grew on trees and kids could fly, or turn invisible, or anything else you could imagine. Over the months this story grew and grew and I began to write it down, spending every spare moment trying to capture all the ideas, characters, and storylines.

After a few false starts with publishers, and a long hiatus from the manuscript, I came back to the novel titled The Seed of Hope, and subsequent books in the trilogy, to finish them off. I’m incredibly excited to announce that it will be available to purchase for all major ebook platforms (Kindle, iBooks, Nook etc) very shortly.

If you are a fan of J.K. Rowling and Philip Pullman, The Seed of Hope, book 1 of the The Talent Tree Chronicles, will be a fantastic summer read. Make sure you subscribe to be updated as soon as the book is listed for sale.

“Charlie Parker was excited. What kid wouldn’t be on Talent Day? By the end of the day he might be able to fly, or turn invisible, or more! In Devon Grove, magic was real. And it literally grows on trees. One tree anyway, the Talent Tree.

Charlie’s father was the Keeper of the Talent Tree. One day Charlie would be too. That is if someone hadn’t stolen his talent, drained all the magic from the tree, and threatened to destroy the world.”
